The name of the group will be the “Lincoln Renaissance Band”, shortened form – “LRB”.
The aims and objectives of the band are to promote the playing of music from the renaissance for the benefit of residents and visitors to the City of Lincoln.
These will be achieved by monthly meetings of the band to play under the direction of a tutor and to present concerts of the music.
New and young members will be actively encouraged through the band’s activities and performances.
Roles and responsibilities will be shared amongst the group and desires and wishes of all members will be taken into account.
Meetings to decide administrative matters will be open to any member wishing to attend.
There will be an annual Annual General Meeting after at least one calendar month’s warning.
The bank account will bear the name of “Lincoln Renaissance Windband”.
There will be three member registered to sign cheques on behalf of the members.
Any cheque must be signed by two of the three.
LRB shall be “not-for-profit”, although reasonable expenses shall be paid.
Proper accounts shall be maintained showing all receipts and expenditures, copies of such accounts shall be distributed to members annually.
Membership is open to all interested players. An annual membership fee is payable. This will be reviewed each year.
At dissolution of LRB for any reason, any debts and liabilities will be met from funds.
Any material goods (e.g. instruments or music) will be sold and the proceeds added to funds.
Any funds remaining after liabilities have been settled will be passed on to an appropriate charitable body with aims related to those above.
